The Eurecat technology centre, a member of Tecnio, leads a network of public and private organizations that are active in the fields of healthcare and new technologies. The network’s aim is to promote and accelerate the adoption of pioneering robotics solutions in the healthcare field, as part of the European DIH-HERO project.

DIH-HERO, which stands for “Digital Innovation Hubs in Healthcare Robotics”, has created a platform that will facilitate knowledge transfer and needs analysis in the healthcare industry over the next four years. By demonstrating the usefulness of this technology in real-world environments, the project will promote the implementation of technological innovations as a means of tackling particular issues in the healthcare field.

The project is led by the Netherlands-based University of Twente and not only encompasses healthcare-related applications such as diagnosis, treatment, care and prevention, but also associated services such as training, maintenance and logistics.
