Felip Miralles

Director of the Digital Health Unit at Eurecat

Felip Miralles qualified as an IT engineer from the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain) and holds a master’s degree in information systems from the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) and a doctorate in engineering and advanced technologies from the University of Barcelona.

For over 20 years, he has led IT projects in both the public and private sectors and worked as a businessman and lecturer/researcher (UPV, NJIT, UOC, UB). He has taken charge of the design, planning, coordination and research in various national and European R&D projects and co-authored a number of technical and scientific publications.

He currently leads the Digital Health Unit at Eurecat, which specialises in service-oriented architectures, mobility, the Internet of Things, data analysis, machine learning and healthcare technologies to design, build and implement innovative products and services for personalised, preventive, predictive and participative healthcare.

INTEGRATED CARE

Ph.D. in Electronic and Computer Engineering by the University of Cagliari (Italy). Currently she manages the Integrated Care Research Line of the Digital Health Technological Unit. From April 2016, she is the technical coordinator of the H2020 European project Connecare.

VICENT RIBAS

DATA ANALYTICS IN MEDICINE

PhD ‘cum laude’ in Artificial Intelligence, Vicent Ribas also holds a MSc. in Mathematical Engineering and Telecommunications Engineering from the Technical University of Catalonia, UPC and a MSc in Electrical Engineering from the Kungliga Tekniksa Högskolan (Sweden). Currently, he leads the Data Analytics in Medicine research line within the Digital Health Unit.

SEBASTIAN IDELSOHN

BIOMECHANICS

Mechanical Engineer by the Universidad Nacional de Rosario (Argentina), Sebastian Idelsohn gained his PhD “cum laude” at the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya (UPC) in the Biomechanics, Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering Group. Currently, he manages the Digital Health Unit’s Biomechanics research line.

DAVID MARÍ

INNOVATION IN HEALTHCARE

David Marí holds an MSc in Electronics and a MSc in Telecommunications from the University of Lleida (URL) and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the University Pompeu Fabra (UPC). He is currently the Digital Health Unit’s Innovation Manager and leader of the Innovation in Healthcare research line.
