ACTIV40 EURECAT

The ACTIV4.0 project researches and develops technologies for the digital management of utilities assets, processes and installations (service provider networks) to offer a better service to the user.

The digitalization, sensorization and monitoring of assets and processes associated with utilities enable the optimization of the operation of plants and networks in terms of efficiency and cost, as well as the improvement of maintenance processes in order to minimize incidents and investment and asset renewal costs.

The results are validated through pilot case studies for application in utilities environments, including water treatment plants, waste treatment plants, power generation plants and water, gas and electricity transmission and distribution networks.

ACTIV4.0 is a project promoted by the RIS3CAT’s Utilities 4.0 Community, coordinated by Eurecat with the participation of eight companies. The Community’s aim is to transform the utilities sector by identifying a set of tools and solutions that promote digitalization towards the concept of Utilities 4.0 and to weave an industrial fabric through the development and application of these new solutions.

Eurecat’s technology Units of Sustainability, Robotics and Automation and Smart Management Systems participate in the project by developing technologies for modelling and monitoring infrastructures in service companies, as well as the diagnosis of anomalies and the evaluation of results.
