New energy storage system based on graphene electrodes, capable of supplying a fully autonomous device made up of one or more sensors together with low-consumption control electronics.
The Autograph project develops an energy storage system prototype based on graphene supercapacitors and that has the ability to manage integrated sensors, including process and signal communication. Autograph project, through the development of this prototype, aims to respond to the demand caused by new technologies on Smart Cities, Smart Building and Internet of Things (IoT).
Eurecat participates in the project through its Functional Printing & Embedded Devices Unit which leads the development of the autonomous functional prototype of the sensor and the control electronics.
The project also counts with the participation of the Institute of Energy Research of Catalonia (IREC), that develops the energy storage system based on graphene electrode and the Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ICN2) which participates in the preparation of materials based on functionalised graphene.
