DITEC EURECAT

DiTEC researches and develops technological solutions based on data quality and new generative AI algorithms for the creation of innovative Digital Twins as key enablers of the autonomous factory and Industry 5.0.

In the current context of industry, characterised by increasing complexity and competitiveness, the ability to innovate and optimize production processes is essential.

Advances in digitalisation and the adoption of digital enablers such as the Internet of Things and AI have allowed the development of the digital twin: virtual replicas of physical systems that can simulate, predict and optimise their behaviour.

The digital twin is one of the pillars of autonomous manufacturing, as it allows production processes to be modelled and simulated with historical and real-time data, thus enabling the optimization of operations, predictive maintenance and the evaluation of new scenarios without disturbing the real system.

To further enhance the aforementioned capabilities, there is enormous potential in equipping digital twins with new solutions in artificial intelligence: from Edge solutions to generative AI.

By integrating these new AI models, digital twins will facilitate autonomous process control, data generation, and the integration of expert knowledge to adapt to dynamic changes and detect anomalies before failures occur.

Eurecat leads the AEI group of the project, developing a technological and algorithmic stack based on Edge Computing, Machine Learning and Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) for the new creation of interconnected Digital Twins (DTs) and enablers of the autonomous factory.

The Applied Artificial Intelligence (AAI) Unit is leading the development of new solutions that incorporate Generative AI and Explainable AI in the creation of the digital twin for the industry, while the IT&OT Security Unit is responsible for providing cybersecurity to the digital twin.
