Development of new creative formats and the enrichment of the contents through data generated by the public during their visit experience and the reading they make of everything around them.
The Engagement project aims to improve the satisfaction and experience of users and promote their participation and commitment to the museum, through monitoring their own experience.
The project that deploys the notion of expanded museum, understood as a strategy based on singularizing and personifying the visitor experience, multiplying its stories and overflowing the spatial and temporal limits of the museum, creating an ecosystem of digital content at its disposal.
On the other hand, and thanks to the collection and analysis of the data generated, the museum has new information to make possible the improvement of its services and the organization of its internal processes, both from the point of view of the contents and the uses that they make of the spaces, the marketing actions of the institution or the activation of its funds and heritage collections, among others.
The solution promoted by the Engagement project is an opportunity for museums, the multimedia content industry and technology companies in Catalonia, which be able to complete their adaptation to the new social and technological innovation management environment, in a full and dynamic way.
The consortium is made up of the University Pompeu Fabra of Barcelona (UPF), project leader, the National Art Museum of Catalonia and the as promoters, the companies Indissoluble and Mobile Media Content and the Eurecat Technology Center which participates in the project through the Big Data & Data Science Unit, the Functional Printing and Embedded Devices Unit and the Consultancy Department.
