FASHIONAUT EURECAT

Study of advanced robotics solutions for the textile sector.

The FASHIONAUT project aims to digitise and robotise potential manufacturing processes in the textile industry, opening the door to new automation solutions using the latest market innovations.

The main innovations contributed by the project consist of the detection of materials through artificial vision with hyperspectral cameras, the development of an algorithm for the manipulation of flexible materials and the use of artificial vision for the measurement and classification of textile fabrics.

The robotisation and automation of production processes in the textile industry, especially in SMEs, is the main weakness detected in the sector, but which results in a significant increase in the productivity of companies.

Eurecat participates in the FASHIONAUT project through its Robotics and Automation Unit and the Functional Textiles Unit.

The rest of the consortium is made up of the FITEX technology center and the companies ESCORPION and Gavipunt, together with the Catalan fashion cluster MODACC.
