Hybridization of smart energy networks, from components to system.
The HIBRIDe project reinforces technological capabilities for sustainable energy autonomy, addressing the challenge of generating an innovative technological solution that allows optimization, hybridization, storage and network management for the integration of renewable energies.
HIBRIDe responds to the challenge of optimizing the design and comprehensive management of a local energy network with the research and development of advanced digital tools for optimal planning and operation of hybrid networks; that is, with coupling between electrical and thermal energy, to maximize the use of primary energy from different renewable energy sources combined in a multi-energy vector.
The initiative generates flexible services used as a mechanism to address any technical problem that ensures the resilience, efficiency and reliability of modern energy networks.
HIBRIDe develops mechanisms to store the energy produced at times when it cannot be consumed. In this sense, one of the lines of research is the selection and management of energy accumulators to obtain maximum efficiency and maximize their useful life.
In addition, the project develops powerful simulation tools that make it possible to eliminate design flaws, shorten manufacturing and testing times, and provide a final solution practically ready for manufacturing and deployment. To achieve this, conventional simulation tools are combined with artificial intelligence techniques to reduce the number of simulations required, as well as the complexity of the models.
Eurecat leads the HIBRIDe project through its Applied Artificial Intelligence Unit (AAI), in charge of mathematical modeling of enabling technologies, and its Waste, Energy and Environmental Impact Unit (WEEI), which analyzes optimization technologies and environmental testing. checked.
The multidisciplinary HIBRIDe consortium is made up of eight companies and two research organizations from three Spanish autonomous communities.
