Automated processes for aircraft quality validation through the use of robotics and artificial vision.
The solution being developed by MAF explores new possibilities to realize the validation tests in a more quickly and efficiently way. With this, the use of robotics and computer vision is maximized in order to minimize human interaction and automate the validation processes practically to the totality.
Currently, the aircrafts validation tests imply a long and exhaustive process which consumes a huge quantity of time to verify all security and quality regulations. The human-work limits the efficiency of this process, increase the extraordinary costs and reduces the flexibility of realizing new tests. In addition, the external hardware needed to realize these processes implies a waste of time and resources to check if it is working correctly.
The application of MAF solution will reduce the time spent in the task and accelerate the evaluation and validation processes, while increasing the aeronautics industry competitiveness and its production processes.
The project is led by Airtificial and counts with the participation of Eurecat technology centre through its Robotics and Automation Technological Unit, both with a high level of expertise in the aeronautic sector and leadership of R+D projects.
