The MyVENT project aims to improve home mechanical ventilation patients’ treatment and health care with the implementation of a smart telemedicine technology system.
The system includes a web platform, supporting professionals, and a mobile platform, enabling patients with home mechanical ventilation needs to follow the therapy remotely and being involved in the therapy actively.
The MyVENT system, allows both professionals and patients to have access to the information about the machine, adherence to therapy and the physiological (patient) and electromechanical (of the machine that provides HMV) more relevant parameters and variables. In addition, the patient will be able to answer specific questionnaires prescribed by health professionals. The MyVENT system will also integrate data mining algorithms that will provide real-time feedback to both patients and professionals.
The project counts with the participation of Oxigen Salud, the Biomedical Research Institute of Lleida and Eurecat’s eHealth unit, a consortium that covers all stages of research and development for the creation of a unique system for the remote treatment of home mechanical ventilation.
