NATALIE EURECAT

Development of an Innovation Booster Package to accelerate and foster transformation through Nature-Based Solutions (NBS).

The NATALIE project addresses the risks posed by climate change and its impacts and advances ecosystem-based adaptation in Europe.

To this end, NATALIE offers 25 innovative solutions through cocreation processes, financial innovation, stakeholder participation, modeling, testing, monitoring and evaluation mechanisms, pre-feasibility studies and evidence-based results.

NATALIE demonstrates 18 Nature-Based Solutions in eight pilot sites located in five different biogeographic regions of Europe. Its replication is studied in four follower sites located in the same biogeographic regions.

Eurecat participates in the project through its Applied Artificial Intelligence (AAI) Unit with the development of knowledge boosters and digital twins, while the Water, Air and Soil (WAS) Unit is in charge of the processes of co-creation and involvement of interest groups.

The NATALIE project consortium is coordinated by the International Office for Water (OiEau) and is made up of 42 partners from 13 European countries.
