Advances in the exploitation models of free ad-supported television (FAST) channels.
The PFAST project promotes a technology for the automatic creation of personalised linear television channels by the user, so that, despite starting from the same content repositories, the grids are specially tuned to their preferences.
Thus, the project contributes through artificial intelligence techniques to the personalisation and specialisation that FAST channels represent for the television world.
Specifically, PFAST advances in the state of the art through natural language processing (NLP) analysis of television content metadata, creating an affinity/diversity model through the emotional analysis of users.
The PFAST consortium is made up of the TVUP television platform and Eurecat, which participates through its Big Data & Data Science Unit, in charge of developing an algorithm for channel automation.
