Smart platform where architecture of interoperable data from existing tools, systems, applications and devices will be deployed, which will ensure the simplified orchestration of integral management of water resources.

The results of the PISCIA project will make it possible to homogenize the exchange of information and allow new events to arise, based on the information exchanged, taking a step towards cross-domain interoperability. Likewise, PISCIA will provide better water accounting (e-government), as well as increasing the competitiveness of the water industry, reducing its costs and losses due to inefficiency in management, due to lack of information.

The technology developed for interconnection, management and intelligent orchestration of existing tools, systems, applications and devices can be applied, not only in water infrastructure, but also in other services that are offered to the public.

All this technology will be validated at a treatment plant in Marbella using an experimental prototype in a controlled environment. This prototype will use a BIM environment together with the orchestration and data analytics tools in order to integrate, orchestrate and offer new water management services.

The project has a consortium led by IDP  with the participation of Fundación Centro Andaluz de Investigaciones del Agua [Andalusian Water Research Foundation] and Eurecat, which collaborate in the project via the Smart Management Systems Unit. Eurecat participates in the project leading the design and implementation of the BIM environment. The centre also develops added value services that will exploit the interoperability capabilities of the PISCIA platform, as a service for tracing the quality parameters with Digital Twins.
