Data monetisation and sharing/trading platform for secure, reliable and controlled exchange and usage of proprietary data assets and data-driven intelligence.
The PISTIS project advances the available techniques and technologies, such as federated data discovery and sharing, distributed ledger technologies (DLTs), non-fungible tokens (NFTs) or AI-driven data quality assessment and monetisation.
These stakeholders formulate a distributed network of data spaces with built-in governance brought by PISTIS to eliminate silos while accruing the actual data value and multiplying it through derivative assets in a fair and transparent manner.
PISTIS establishes the methodological and technical bases in different areas:
- Management, interoperability and governance of data, with the objective of collecting, curating, securing and fully controlling the data made available through the data space of each organisation.
- Secure data sharing, with effective management and on-chain storage of data contracts in an inherently human-understandable manner.
- Valuation and monetisation of data, by systematically articulating and recommending an appropriate target value.
- Data sharing skills cultivation, providing training material to educate stakeholders on how they can assess their data sharing maturity to operate with data and PISTIS technology.
Eurecat, through its Big Data & Data Science Unit, is responsible for developing components for the valuation and monetisation of PISTIS data.
The PISTIS consortium is coordinated by Fraunhofer with the participation of 31 partners from 11 European countries.
