Design, development and verification of a personal health care system to promote and improve the self-care among patients with chronic cardiovascular diseases in different areas of their daily life in an easy, intuitive and simple way.
During the Pulso a Punto project, an innovative platform has been developed. The platform integrates state-of-the-art sensory textiles with electronics and communication prompts. The platform derived from the project has focused on monitoring remotely the health status of patients with chronic diseases and at risk of suffering several complications.
Cardiovascular diseases have a very significant impact on the European society in terms of mortality, morbidity and related health costs. The development and application of systems for personal health care adapted to the needs of users can provide strong benefits in the prevention and treatment of these diseases.
