SMARTHABIT EURECAT

Development of an open, common, interoperable and easily scalable cloud platform that allows accelerating the deployment of new smart products in the habitat sector.

The SMARTHABIT project develops a cloud-based platform that allows the integration of multiple sources of data and information from various smart habitat products, as well as from external sources, which allow adding value to their functionalities and utilities.

SMARTHABIT will allow companies in the habitat sector to promote a broader adoption of emerging enabling technologies, simplifying collaboration with companies from technological sectors accustomed to these new value chains.

In recent years, the use of products based on the Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence and Human-Computer Interaction technologies has spread significantly in many sectors, but in habitat spaces its appearance is limited to consumer electronics or household appliances.

This is mainly because developing smart equipment is an extremely complex process, which requires merging the traditional habitat product development cycle with that of software, running both simultaneously.

SMARTHABIT will allow the smart habitat product manufacturer to abstract from the technical tasks that are farthest from their usual know-how, as well as enable interoperability and data exchange between different smart habitat products to deliver new value services that are more personalised and focused on needs and preferences changing users.

Eurecat participates in the SMARTHABIT project through its Applied Artificial Intelligence (AAI) Unit, in charge of the design and technological development of the platform.
