New platform based on the Internet of Things (IoT) for the habitat industries of Catalonia.
The SMARTSPACE project promotes a new IoT solution with the aim of boosting the Catalan habitat industry, expanding its offer to include connected products and devices and adding differentiation for its customers. SMARTSPACE encourages manufacturers and brands in the habitat sector to introduce such an important and differential factor as the IoT in their products and facilitate their connection to the news developed platform or to others that may appear in the future.
The new platform developed by the project allows to collect data jointly throughout the sector (homes and collective spaces: hotels, residences, hospitals, schools, offices, etc). The solution promoted by SMARTSPACE is clearly focused on the cloud and offers a quality information that can also be exploited at a commercial level.
The consortium of the project, led by the Home and contract furnishing Cluster – Cenfim, counts with the participation of the Smart Management Systems Unit of Eurecat, together with the i2CAT Foundation, Leitat, Bustper and Motion4.
Use case: track usage of an outdoor smart sofa in a hotel environment. Provide insights for staff (space usage, asset maintenance alerts, etc…).
Keep guest informed about potential health risks and engage them to act. Digital transformation roadmap for companies in the cultural and tourism sectors.
