Project Description

Automated online 3D content generation system based on videogrammetry, the generation of three-dimensional models of objects and environments through video recording, to optimise and improve research, supervision and security systems.

SV3D project will provide technological advances in the automation of content production and continuous dynamic 3D video generation, providing delayed content broadcasts so as to achieve real-time broadcasting.

The tools to be developed include an online 3D content display platform with editing and surveillance tools specifically focused on the security sector, a documentation, display and 3D content generation system, and a series of software components to guarantee the privacy, confidentiality and traceability of information.

Unlike existing 3D generation systems in the security sector, the SV3D project has a simpler recording methodology, since the technical factors in the recording will be automatically controlled by the system, with the processing being conducted externally.

The project, led by eCapture 3D, involves the Instituto Tecnológico de Castilla y León, ONDATA and Eurecat through the IT Security Technology Unit. Eurecat is contributing to the project as the supervisor of the SV3D system’s security aspects, applying the protective measures required in order to guarantee integrity, confidentiality and privacy in the flow of information gathered by the cameras, and the associated management processing function.
