New digital cloud-based genotype to phenotype platform relying on Big Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence<\/strong> and using large-scale publicly available and experimental omics datasets<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The GLOMICAVE<\/strong> project, coordinated by Eurecat, addresses the need to build systems that allow the use of primary data analytical processes and support large-scale omic experiments<\/strong>, thus maximising the utility of omic data at a massive level and increasing the understanding of biological systems as a whole.<\/p>\n

The new open platform developed by the project has the objective to assist experts and non-experts in identifying and understanding new links between genotype and phenotype<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The main objectives of GLOMICAVE project are:<\/p>\n

  • Create a strategy for integrating multi-omics datasets in a harmonised and normalised manner<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  • Analyse the existing investigation and literature to promote a strategy to extract knowledge on multi-omics and discover unknown genotype-phenotype links<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  • Promote a multi-omics computational integration strategy based on multivariate algorithms<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  • Develop a holistic and meaningful user-centred cloud-based Big Data platform for multi-omics integration and genotype-phenotype association<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    GLOMICAVE integrative approach will be validated in 3 different industrial sectors<\/strong> such as livestock, agro-biotechnology and environment<\/strong>, addressing specific challenges in 6 business cases<\/strong> (animal reproductive technology, meat quality, fruit growth and quality, plant growth, phosphorus removal\/recovery and bioenergy production in the urban water cycle.<\/p>\n

    Eurecat participates in the project through the Omics Sciences Unit<\/a>, the Big Data & Data Science Unit<\/a>, the Applied Artificial Intelligence Unit<\/a>, Software Development Unit, the Waste, Energy and Environmental Impact (WEEI) Unit<\/a>, the Water, Air and Soil (WAS) Unit<\/a> and the Consultancy Department<\/a>.<\/p>\n

    GLOMICAVE counts with a consortium of 15 partners<\/strong> from Spain, France, Germany, Belgium, Portugal and Denmark.<\/p>\n
