style=\"border-color:#e0dede;\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-2\"><p><strong>Valorisation, dissemination and awareness about the concept of fracture toughness<\/strong>, as well as its extension to other applications in the steel sector and to other industries working with <strong>Advanced High-Strength Steels (AHSS)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>ToughSteel<\/strong> project involves and engages the main stakeholders around the steel sector with the objective to<strong> promote, disseminate and transfer the know-how acquired in previous projects about the use of fracture toughness as a tool to address cracking problems in forming and in-service performance of AHSS. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>main objectives<\/strong> of the project are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Collect, organize and analyse the fracture toughness data<\/strong> measurements (from previous RFCS projects and open literature) to <strong>create a database<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Provide an <strong>industrial guideline to describe methodologies of fracture toughness evaluations in sheet metals,<\/strong> based on the research developed in previous RFCS projects, for a more efficient fracture and crashworthiness prediction in different industrial applications.<\/li>\n<li>Develop different <strong>communication and dissemination actions aimed to promote the project and the application of fracture toughness as a design material property<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Organise <strong>webinars, academic and industrial workshops, online courses and educational programs<\/strong> to transfer the knowledge acquired.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Standardisation activities<\/strong> to facilitate the acceptance and utilisation by the market of the developed solutions.<\/li>\n<li>Organise \u201c<strong>Problems Solving\u201d sessions<\/strong> focused on case-studies to show how fracture toughness can be used to understand and solve crack-related industrial problems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The different activities promoted by the project are addressed to a wide audience including academic institutions, steel producers, part-makers, and end-users of sheet metal products.<\/p>\n<p>ToughSteel consortium is formed by <strong>Eurecat, which coordinates and participates<\/strong> in the project through the <a href=\"https:\/\/eurecat.org\/en\/field-of-knowledge\/materials-metallics-ceramics\/\">Metallic and Ceramic Materials Unit<\/a> and the Communication and Digital Marketing Unit, together with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ltu.se\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lule\u00e5 Tekniska Universitet<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/uclouvain.be\/en\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Catholic University of Louvain<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stellantis.com\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Centro Ricerche Fiat<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jernkontoret.se\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jernkontoret<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/unesid.org\/index.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UNESID \u2013 Uni\u00f3n de Empresas Sider\u00fargicas<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.en.une.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UNE<\/a> as a standardisation organism.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"YouTube
