Development of the next generation of higher-level meta operating systems for the smart Internet of Things.<\/strong><\/p>\n

NebulOus<\/strong> transparently manages all the layers of the cloud continuum stack<\/strong>, in an equivalent manner to an Operating System, managing the available computing capacity to facilitate an adaptive application hosting environment<\/strong>, driven by the processing proximity to data sources and optimised based on the data involved, the defined quality of service (QoS) requirements and the regulatory, security or privacy constraints.<\/p>\n

Therefore, NebulOus will develop a novel Meta Operating System and platform<\/strong> for enabling transient fog brokerage ecosystems that seamlessly exploit edge and fog nodes<\/strong>, in conjunction with multi-cloud resources, to cope with the requirements posed by low latency applications.<\/p>\n

NebulOus will accomplish substantial research contributions in the realms of cloud and fog computing brokerage<\/strong> by introducing advanced methods and tools for enabling secure and optimal application provisioning and reconfiguration over the cloud computing continuum.<\/p>\n

Eurecat coordinates the NebulOus<\/strong> project through its Applied Artificial Intelligence Unit<\/a>, responsible for demonstrating effective interoperability, AI models (for control & optimisation) and security\/privacy mechanisms to move EU data economy to the use of continuum processing platforms. The IT & OT Security Unit<\/a> contributes to the security and privacy of the platform.<\/p>\n

\nApply to the NebulOus second Open Call<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The NebulOus project launches a new Open Call<\/a> to to address supplementary use cases extending beyond the pilots implemented within the project, through which to demonstrate the replicability and sustainability of NebulOuS framework covering a wide spectrum of use cases. It also aims to guarantee proper and wide external evaluation and validation of the project results, increase awareness, attract and engage key stakeholders and end-users, and ensure sustainability throughout and after the project end.<\/p>\n

The Open Call invites applicants to propose innovative pilot projects that align with the platform\u2019s goals and European priorities for digital transformation and green computing.<\/p>\n

To be eligible, the proposed use cases must demonstrate that NebulOuS platform can cope with at least one of the challenges below:<\/p>\n
