Study of the habits of the visitors of Barcelona and its impact on the quality of life of the resident population to improve mobility management in the city after the COVID-19 crisis.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The VISITMOB<\/strong> project is based on a multi-methodological research process that combines quantitative and qualitative techniques<\/strong>, using diverse and complementary sources of information, such as surveys of resident and visiting populations, tracking with GPS devices, workshops and discussion groups, participatory methods and interviews and spatial analysis using Geographic Information Systems.<\/p>\n

Based on the information collected, the project analyses the different mobilities associated with the different visitor population groups that move around the city of Barcelona<\/strong>, \u200b\u200bas well as their interaction with the urban environment and the mobility of the resident population.<\/p>\n

At a time marked by the need to carry out a transition towards more sustainable mobilities and in a context conditioned by the new challenges and difficulties arising from the recent Covid-19 pandemic, the VISITMOB project provides key evidence to inform policy when designing strategies and instruments for the management of urban mobility and sustainable planning<\/strong>, while generating new scientific knowledge of international impact in the field of tourist mobility<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Eurecat participates in the VISITMOB project through its Consultancy Department<\/a>, in charge of designing and coordinating the field work associated with carrying out the survey processes.<\/p>\n<\/div>
