Experimental development of tangible interfaces through furniture to improve the user experience during control and interaction in smart kitchens.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The TANGIBLE<\/strong> project integrates tangible interface technologies (TUI, Tangible User Interfaces) on the surfaces and materials of the kitchen equipment.<\/p>\n

TANGIBLE offers new value utilities to professional and domestic kitchen users<\/strong> by developing an immersive online social interaction space based on an extended reality<\/strong> from a machine learning agent. The project also facilitates the control of the options of the digital environment<\/strong>, stimulating more inclusive co-creation activities<\/strong> in work processes.<\/p>\n

The use of new technologies such as the Internet of Things or Artificial intelligence has been especially limited to consumer electronics or household appliances<\/strong>, leaving their integration in furniture and other non-electronic habitat products taking a back seat.<\/p>\n

Eurecat’s Product Innovation and Multiphysics Simulation Unit<\/a> participates in this project by studying the feasibility of embedded electronic designs, to convert furniture surfaces into sensitive interfaces that allow the immediate display of information in context, as well as touch control.<\/p>\n
