Towards a common European Mobility Data Space (EMDS).<\/strong><\/p>\n

The DeployEMDS<\/strong> project marks a key step forward in the European Union’s journey towards the creation of a common data space, facilitating data access, sharing and reuse in the mobility sector<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Through common governance mechanisms, the goal is to unite data providers and users by developing common building blocks and practical applications<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In line with the European Data Strategy and the Smart Sustainable Mobility Strategy, DeployEMDS helps unlock the potential of data to support a more sustainable and efficient urban mobility<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The project will support implementation in nine cities and regions<\/strong>, addressing over 20 use cases<\/strong> related to traffic management, data-driven policymaking and multimodal mobility that will actively contribute to the development of innovative services and applications and to improve local transport policies.<\/p>\n

In Barcelona<\/strong>, two iterative use cases will be deployed, serving as pilots for the DeployEMDS data space infrastructure, with the aim of enhancing the regional mobility strategy.<\/p>\n

Eurecat leads, through its Big Data & Data Science<\/a> Unit, the traffic analysis use case that considers the effect of weather conditions on traffic patterns, the impact of traffic on air quality, as well as the development of a traffic prediction model and incident detection model.<\/p>\n

The DeployEMDS consortium consists of 45 partners from 11 European countries.<\/p>\n<\/div>

DeployEMDS supports sustainable urban mobility planning and management and enables innovative services and applications by making data available and accessible in machine-readable format for EU sustainable urban mobility indicators, such as greenhouse gas emissions, congestion, road safety, commuting travel times, and modal split in line with the EU definition and methodology.<\/p>\n
