Automation towards multimodal transportation and integration of freight.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The AutoMoTIF<\/strong> project develops strategies, business and governance models, regulatory recommendations and synergies that enable the integration and interoperability of automated transport systems and solutions<\/strong> with a view to the operational automation of multimodal cargo flows and logistics supply chains in the intra-European network<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Based on the current challenges and gaps in the automated and seamless logistics chain, we work with simulations on real scenarios and in different geographical locations. The results of the scenarios will be used to establish a master scenario that addresses the end-to-end delivery of goods using the greatest possible degree of automation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In addition, AutoMoTIF analyses the results of current practices, which will allow the assessment of the benefits that can be obtained by leveraging automated means of transport<\/strong> for seamless multimodal automatic transport of goods and vice versa.<\/p>\n

These benefits will be defined and analysed based on their social, environmental and economic impact, such as reduced emissions and congestion, improved working conditions and safety or reduced logistics and freight costs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Eurecat Consultancy<\/a> Department designs, analyses and evaluates governance and business models, as well as issues of organisational change and incentives to reduce investment costs and support the implementation of automated solutions for multimodal logistics.<\/p>\n

For its part, the Applied Artificial Intelligence (AAI)<\/a> Unit defines the common bases of the simulation models that will be developed for each of the use cases, so that the benefits and improvements that can be analysed jointly and comparably. The automation of flows and operations contributes to each of the multimodal systems studied. In addition, the Unit supports the use case that will be developed in the Port of Bilbao.<\/p>\n

The AutoMoTIF consortium is made up of 18 partners from nine different European countries.<\/p>\n<\/div>
