TwinOps and vehicle-specific Digital Twin for Software Defined Electric Vehicles (EVs).<\/strong><\/p>\n

TWIN-LOOP<\/strong> advances in computational capacity from High-Performance Computing (HPC) and the digitalisation of Electric Vehicles (EVs) under the Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) architecture.<\/p>\n

Current Digital Twin technologies do not fully capture the complexity of EV core performance and often overlook the unique characteristics of individual vehicles, which depend on the specific hardware, software versions, operational conditions, and usage patterns.<\/p>\n

The project develops an Open Framework for TwinOps tailored for EVs<\/strong> and a suite of digital tools designed to continuously optimise energy consumption, hardware costs, driver experience, and vehicle resilience across all four stages of the vehicle lifecycle. This framework will be tested in real-world scenarios through three use cases<\/strong> chosen for their relevance to the project\u2019s goals.<\/p>\n

TWIN-LOOP also seeks to create synergies between various sectors and stakeholders, aligning its objectives with European priorities and strategic initiatives like 2ZERO and Chips JU. This alignment enhances the transferability of its outcomes and demonstrates the project\u2019s focus on fostering innovation, driving research ambition, and promoting market adoption in the automotive sector.<\/p>\n

Eurecat\u2019s IT&OT Security<\/a> Unit contributes to TWIN-LOOP in key areas related to EVs cybersecurity. Eurecat is developing a Cyber Range that integrates CARLA and common automotive tools to simulate, evaluate, and validate cybersecurity solutions for EVs against potential attacks. The Unit also leads efforts to define new EV architectures based on Zero Trust principles and open-source countermeasures, such as Identity Management systems. Moreover, encryption of communications and data is a critical focus area, where Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) solutions will be implemented.<\/p>\n
