The project overcomes challenges associated with secondary materials, such as performance variability, through resilient design and life-cycle environmental impact assessment.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, GEAR-UP enhances <strong>sustainable product design<\/strong> by using <strong>innovative simulation and modelling software<\/strong>. It also implements the Digital Product Passport initiative and fosters human involvement in advancing circularity and sustainable technology adoption.<\/p>\n<p>Eurecat takes part in the GEAR-UP project through its <a href=\"https:\/\/eurecat.org\/en\/field-of-knowledge\/materials-metallics-ceramics\/\">Metallic and Ceramic Materials<\/a> Unit, developing aluminium powder with improved properties for additive manufacturing technology. A very high percentage of the raw material is used, generating less waste and avoiding the recovery and recycling processes of this scrap.
