The project combines <strong>automatic 3D reconstruction<\/strong> with <strong>visual servoing<\/strong> in a unified closed-loop framework, allowing robot actions to be continuously updated based on live visual input.<\/p>\n<p>ORIGAMI offers a highly accurate, adaptive, and versatile alternative to traditional picking systems, which often separate perception and motion planning and struggle to respond to unexpected object movements or dynamic environments. By generating <strong>real-time reconstructions<\/strong> to guide manipulation, alongside <strong>high-quality offline models<\/strong> for further optimization, the project aims to significantly increase autonomy, productivity, and reliability in manufacturing and intralogistics operations.<\/p>\n<p>The project addresses the growing industrial need for robots capable of operating in unstructured environments, reducing manual intervention and supporting more flexible production and logistics processes. Its inherently interdisciplinary approach combines expertise in computer vision, robotics, motion planning, and real-time control.<\/p>\n<p>Eurecat participates in the project through its <a href=\"https:\/\/eurecat.org\/en\/field-of-knowledge\/robotics-automation\/\">Robotics and Automation unit<\/a>, contributing with its expertise in applied R&amp;D, advanced technological services, IT consulting, and specialized training for industry.<\/p>\n<p>The ORIGAMI project is coordinated by <a href=\"https:\/\/bitmetrics.ai\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>BitMetrics<\/strong><\/a>, a deep-tech startup specialising in vision-based industrial automation and developer of robotic manipulation solutions such as Pick[+] and Pick[+] Palletizer, as well as the Scan[+] visual inspection system.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-layout-column fusion_builder_column
