Advanced protective coatings obtained through PVD and CVD to increase the service life of tools, dies and moulds used in hot-working material processes.<\/strong><\/p>\n

HOT-COAT develops advanced protective coatings<\/strong>, obtained through PVD<\/strong> (Physical Vapor Deposition) and CVD<\/strong> (Chemical Vapor Deposition) technologies, to increase the service life<\/strong> of tools<\/strong>, dies<\/strong>, and molds<\/strong> used in hot-working material processes (hot forging<\/strong>, hot stamping<\/strong>, and plastic injection molding<\/strong>), while also improving the quality of the final surface finish<\/strong> of the processed parts.<\/p>\n

To this end, the project includes the implementation of new technologies<\/strong> for producing coatings<\/strong> with high functional performance<\/strong> (tribomechanical, chemical, and thermal properties) and excellent surface finish<\/strong>, at production costs<\/strong> that are competitive<\/strong> with those of coatings currently available on the market.<\/p>\n

Eurecat participates in the HOT-COAT project through its Metallic and Ceramic Materials Unit<\/a> and Plastic Materials & Composites, <\/a>\u00a0which are responsible for developing PVD and CVD coatings and validating them in pilot plants for hot stamping and plastic injection.<\/p>\n

In addition to Eurecat, the project consortium is formed by the company Tratamientos T\u00e9rmicos Carreras S.A<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>
