In parallel, new, advanced surface treatment processes and specific lubricants will be created for drawing and cutting aluminium parts for vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>The project, led by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.batz.com\/\">BATZ<\/a>, which specialises in the design and manufacturing of industrial dies for stamping and cutting aluminium components, involves participation from <a href=\"https:\/\/aludium.com\/\">Aludium<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oerlikon.com\/balzers\/uk\/en\/\">Oerlikon Balzers<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cromogenia.com\/en\/\">Cromogenia Units<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mondragon.edu\/en\/home\">Mondragon University<\/a> and Eurecat, through its <a href=\"https:\/\/eurecat.org\/en\/field-of-knowledge\/materials-metallics-ceramics\/\">Metal and Ceramic Materials Unit<\/a>. The Unit is responsible for defining and selecting the tool steels, coatings and lubricants and carrying out an analysis of the aluminium sheet\u2019s susceptibility to edge cracking, as well as designing, manufacturing and testing the aluminium cutting prototype.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-layout-column fusion_builder_column
