In this sense, INNPL\u00c1GENO project developed <strong>innovative manufacturing technologies and protective coatings for the optimisation of the performance of polymeric-membrane hydrogen fuel cells<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Fuel cells are electrochemical devices that use hydrogen as a fuel and oxygen from atmospheric air as oxidant. The overall result of the electrochemical reaction is the generation of electricity and water as a by-product.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, among the different alternatives for the generation of sustainable energy, the <strong>Polymer Electrolyte Membranes (PEM) hydrogen fuel cells<\/strong> are undergone a fast development for their potential application in the transport sector and for stationary energy generators.<\/p>\n<p>INNPL\u00c1GENO, led by the company <a href=\"https:\/\/ajusa.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Auto Juntas (AJUSA)<\/a>, counted with the participation of Eurecat technology centre through its <a href=\"https:\/\/eurecat.org\/en\/field-of-knowledge\/materials-metallics-ceramics\/\">Metallic and Ceramic Materials Unit<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-layout-column fusion_builder_column fusion-builder-column-1 fusion_builder_column_1_3 1_3 fusion-one-third fusion-column-last\"
