The Sant Joan de D\u00e9u Health Park<\/strong> in Sant Boi is to implement a remote monitoring solution<\/strong> developed by the Eurecat<\/a><\/strong> technology centre and called ekenku<\/a><\/strong> to monitor the 23 places in the programme for homes with mental health support<\/strong> managed by the health institution.<\/p>\n

This new technological solution will allow the team of psychologists and social educators in the supported homes to perform more specific control of warning symptoms which may emerge as a result of SARS-CoV-2<\/strong> infection. It will additionally enhance health and social care for this group of people while lockdown is still in force.<\/p>\n

Enrique de la Vega, head of digital innovation product management in Eurecat\u2019s Healthcare and Social Sciences division, says ekenku\u2019s questionnaire and video-conference system \u201chas a modular design which means it can be quickly used in any situation where the person being attended to needs to have a private conversation with the healthcare centre through a secure channel, both during home hospitalisation and also in the case of chronic patients requiring continuous care\u201d.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
