That was the message from the experts who took part in \u2018<strong>The Impact of Implementing Sustainability Measures in Tourism; a new scenario<\/strong>\u2019 online conference held yesterday and today and attended by eighty people.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s no doubt that while sustainability was already important before<strong>\u00a0COVID-19<\/strong>, now responsibility, sustainability and resilience are essential,\u201d said Salvador Anton Clav\u00e9, the Director of Eurecat\u2019s Tourism Innovation Department and a professor at Rovira i Virgili University. \u201cAt the moment sustainability is crucial for the future of the planet and also for the future of the tourism industry.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The conference was hosted by the Tourism Innovation Intelligence Laboratory in the <a href=\"http:\/\/eurecat.org\/\">Eurecat<\/a>\u00a0technology centre\u2019s Tourism Innovation Department and the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dipta.cat\/ca\/arees\/patronat-de-turisme\">Tarragona Provincial Council Tourism Board<\/a>\u00a0for the Costa Daurada and Terres de l\u2019Ebre.
