The Eurecat<\/a> <\/strong>technology centre is taking part in the Coppereplace<\/strong> project designed to reduce the use of copper in vineyards and remedy contaminated soils across south-western Europe through integrated, sustainable solutions aligned with environmentally friendly production methods.<\/p>\n

Ricard Garcia Valls, the director of Eurecat\u2019s Chemical Technology Unit, says the technology centre \u201cis to develop a technology for encapsulating new plant health products\u201d intended to prevent diseases in the organic and conventional wine-growing industry.<\/p>\n

The use of the new plant health products \u201cwill make it possible to cut down on the amount of copper used without generating microplastics\u201d, points out Josep M. Montorn\u00e9s, project manager in Eurecat\u2019s Chemical Technology Unit.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
