El Centre de Formaci\u00f3 Pr\u00e0ctica de la Fundaci\u00f3 Lacet\u00e0nia<\/strong> (CFP<\/a><\/strong>) i el centre tecnol\u00f2gic Eurecat<\/a> <\/strong>han signat avui una alian\u00e7a d\u2018ampli abast amb l\u2019objectiu d\u2019augmentar la competitivitat de les empreses del sector metall-mec\u00e0nic<\/strong> de la Catalunya Central<\/strong> i de tot el territori catal\u00e0, amb especial atenci\u00f3 a la petita i mitjana empresa, davant dels importants reptes de futur que afronta aquesta activitat industrial.<\/p>\n

En aquest sentit, la suma de capacitats i de recursos d\u2019ambdues entitats permetr\u00e0 que el sector empresarial pugui accedir a una oferta formativa puntera, aix\u00ed com a un ampli espectre de serveis, que van des de la recerca aplicada i la t\u00e8cnica i l\u2019operaci\u00f3 a les instal\u00b7lacions productives fins al suport a l\u2019emprenedoria de nous equips metall-mec\u00e0nics.<\/p>\n

Amb aquesta finalitat, el conveni de col\u00b7laboraci\u00f3 estableix les l\u00ednies de treball i un marc de cooperaci\u00f3 estable entre CFP, com a centre de refer\u00e8ncia per a professionals i empreses especialitzat en t\u00e8cniques de fabricaci\u00f3 en el sector metall-mec\u00e0nic, i Eurecat, com a referent en tecnologies de fabricaci\u00f3 avan\u00e7ada, tot combinant coneixements industrials, digitals i de sostenibilitat.<\/p>\n

Han subscrit el protocol la presidenta de Fundaci\u00f3 Lacet\u00e0nia, S\u00edlvia Gratac\u00f2s, i el president d\u2019Eurecat, Xavier Torra, en un acte que ha comptat amb la intervenci\u00f3 de l\u2019alcalde de Manresa, Marc Aloy.<\/p>\n

En l\u2019acte, Marc Aloy s\u2019ha felicitat de la signatura de l\u2019acord, que \u201cpermetr\u00e0 sumar l\u2019\u00e0mplia experi\u00e8ncia i coneixements de dues institucions de relleu, com s\u00f3n Eurecat i CFP, per tirar un projecte absolutament en l\u00ednia amb els reptes que tenim com a territori i com a pa\u00eds: situar-nos en una posici\u00f3 puntera en l\u2019\u00e0mbit de la digitalitzaci\u00f3 i de la ind\u00fastria 4.0. El nostre territori ja fa temps que treballa en aquests camps, i amb METALLCAT es far\u00e0 un pas m\u00e9s, molt important i necessari\u201d.<\/p>\n

Segons destaca la presidenta de Fundaci\u00f3 Lacet\u00e0nia, \u201cel sector industrial es troba en un moment clau amb la irrupci\u00f3 de la ind\u00fastria 4.0 i aquesta alian\u00e7a permetr\u00e0 que les nostres empreses tinguin acc\u00e9s a coneixements i suport t\u00e8cnic avan\u00e7ats que les situ\u00efn al capdavant d\u2019aquesta nova revoluci\u00f3 industrial\u201d.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Lacet\u00e0nia Foundation\u2019s Practical Training Centre<\/strong>\u00a0(CFP<\/strong><\/a>) and the\u00a0Eurecat<\/strong><\/a> technology centre have today sealed a wide-ranging partnership designed to make\u00a0metalworking<\/strong>\u00a0businesses in\u00a0Central Catalonia<\/strong>\u00a0and across the rest of the country more competitive. The alliance will especially target small and medium-sized enterprises given the major challenges ahead for this industrial sector.<\/p>\n

The shared capabilities and resources of both organisations will provide the business sector with access to state-of-the-art training and a wide array of services ranging from applied research and technical and operational expertise in production facilities to support for new metalworking equipment ventures.<\/p>\n

To this end the partnership agreement sets out work strands and ongoing cooperation between the CFP, a leading school for practitioners and businesses specialising in metalworking manufacturing techniques, and Eurecat, a pacesetter in advanced manufacturing technologies, by pooling industrial, digital and sustainability knowhow.<\/p>\n

The protocol was signed by S\u00edlvia Gratac\u00f2s, chair of the Lacet\u00e0nia Foundation, and Xavier Torra, chair of Eurecat, at a ceremony also attended by Marc Aloy, Mayor of Manresa.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the event, Marc Aloy welcomed the agreement. \u201cIt will enable us to merge the extensive background and knowledge of two leading institutions, Eurecat and the CFP, to undertake a project which is fully geared towards our challenges as a region and as a country: to position ourselves at the forefront of digitalisation and Industry 4.0,\u201d he said. \u201cOur region has been working in these areas for quite a while and METALLCAT is a further, very significant and much needed step forward.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe industrial sector is at a critical juncture with the emergence of Industry 4.0,\u201d noted S\u00edlvia Gratac\u00f2s. \u201cThis alliance will provide our companies with access to state-of-the-art knowhow and technical support which will put them at the cutting edge of this new industrial revolution.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis agreement brings together technique and technology to provide industry businesses with R&D, innovation and manufacturing processes on the factory or workshop floor,\u201d pointed out Xavier Torra.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe agreement will enable us to enhance and expand the CFP\u2019s role for metalworking enterprises in the region and also start looking outside Central Catalonia,\u201d argued Joan Ramon Perdig\u00f3, chair of the CFP. \u201cWe are the only centre of its kind in Catalonia because of what we do and also because we are backed by the enterprises concerned and supported by government and business organisations.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe partnership between our two organisations will bring together the outstanding and unique skills of the Lacet\u00e0nia Foundation\u2019s Practical Training Centre and Eurecat to make the metalworking industry more competitive with a view to expanding and delivering services both in el Bages and also across Catalonia,\u201d said Xavier L\u00f3pez, Eurecat\u2019s Chief Operating and Corporate Officer.<\/p>\n

The Lacet\u00e0nia Foundation\u2019s Practical Training Centre and the Eurecat technology centre will team up in the operation of their workshop and laboratory facilities and in advanced manufacturing projects in areas such as Industry 4.0, sustainable production and digitalisation. This partnership will drive a state-of-the-art range of services, levels, formats and training programmes for the industry in design, mechanisation, sheet metal folding, prototyping, industrial maintenance, metrology and more.<\/p>\n

First advanced materials training programme for new specialists in this strategic field<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Lacet\u00e0nia Foundation\u2019s Practical Training Centre and the Eurecat Academy, Eurecat\u2019s highly specialised training brand, are running their first training programme in advanced materials for new specialists in this strategic field anchored in an extremely hands-on approach. The programme features eight highly specialised training courses in subjects that include bioplastics, aluminium, composites and steels along with two more technical courses which will enable students to learn about the mechanical behaviour of high-strength steels and a seminar on sheet metal toughness.<\/p>\n

The partnership protocol envisages carrying out joint actions in sustainable advanced manufacturing and digitalisation, including an emphasis on training for young people and women, in order to meet the demand for talent in this field in association with the business community and government.<\/p>\n

Working towards a distinctive joint offering<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The partnership agreement also lays the foundations for greater future integration of Eurecat and Practical Training Centre operations, initially on a more functional basis, to shape a distinctive joint offering which will be increasingly attractive to companies.<\/p>\n

The protocol sets out a number of areas for cooperation between Eurecat and the Practical Training Centre such as support services for parts machining, prototyping and tooling. It also outlines the principles for both organisations to deliver specialised comprehensive continuous learning services for businesses and stakeholders in Central Catalonia and other regions by bringing together professional, technical and technological, organisational, management and infrastructure skills.<\/p>\n

The initiative is backed by leading organisations and institutions in Central Catalonia including the Manresa Chamber of Commerce, Manresa Town Council, el Bages County Council, the Central Catalonia Metalworking Employers\u2019 Association and PIMEC.
