Its consortium members are i2Cat, the project coordinator, the Computer Vision Centre (CVC) at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), the Catalan Broadcasting Corporation (CCMA), Visyon and Eurecat.<\/p>\n<p>ViVIM addresses the production of immersive video which involves tailoring film technology and language to harness the options afforded by immersive screens. The project is also designed to enable interactive and social experiences between remote users in virtual environments while having a significant impact within the content creator, distributor and consumer ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The audiovisual experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The technology delivered by the ViVIM project will unlock more personalised audiovisual experiences by learning about and understanding people\u2019s requirements and recreating bespoke AV viewing. They will also be adaptive whereby content can be watched across various screens or devices since it is tailored to each one to create an optimal immersive experience.<\/p>\n<p>It additionally seeks to generate experiences which are more dynamic by meeting audience needs in terms of length, depth of interest, location, preferences, lifestyle and age; interactive where users can actively engage with the content by gathering or providing new information; and immersive with content presented in environments which bring the audience an enhanced experience in virtual reality and 360\u00ba cinema.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0\u201cVivim\u201d; the history of TV3 through a 360\u00ba immersive experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The CCMA is running a pilot scheme as part of the ViVIM project in which viewers can relish a unique virtual experience: immersive time travel in a virtual lift which takes them back to the most iconic moments in the history of TV3 from its very beginnings. Available on the website, this virtual lift travels vertically and immersively at high speed and stops at each floor which stands for a year in TV3\u2019s history. Instead of doors there are TV sets on which users can watch programmes and key moments from the station\u2019s past.
