In this respect, Europe has set the goal of achieving climate neutrality by 2050 and is promoting a set of measures included in the so-called Fit for 55 that must make it possible to step up the greenhouse gas reduction target from the current 40 per cent to 55 per cent with regard to emissions between 1990 and 2030.<\/p>\n<p>In this context, \u2018the aspects linked to sustainability have a key influence on business strategy\u2019, where \u2018the creation of value and climate neutrality are an opportunity to improve the economy\u2019s entire value chain\u2019, notes Eurecat\u2019s Sustainability director.<\/p>\n<p>From this perspective, \u2018achieving decarbonisation and climate neutrality has unprecedented environmental, economic and social implications\u2019, Rovira adds, noting that, for him, \u2018the role of technology is essential\u2019, as well as the prospect of \u2018gaining sovereignty, inasmuch as we stop importing energy\u2019.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":12,"featured_media":123823,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[2351,2298,743,433],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-127229","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-aigua-aire-sols-en","category-energy","category-press-notes-en","category-sustainability"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
