Giromed Institute has collaborated with Eurecat in designing and developing an advanced mandibular smart device for monitoring the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea syndrome.<\/p>\n

The iDAM Sleep Sapphire solution monitors in a single device: the heart rate, oxygen saturation level and the position and movements of patients during their sleep and generates alerts for both the patient and the doctor. The set of biometric data obtained from the real-time monitoring of patients will be the basis of an analytical tool that, in the future, may also be useful for the diagnosis and prevention of cardiovascular pathologies or strokes, among others.<\/p>\n

The application of the Internet of Things in this technological challenge for medical management will facilitate the detection and prevention of adverse effects, which will make it possible to reduce mortality and apply action protocols in a personalized way, measuring the effectiveness and efficiency of treatments and improving the diagnosis of disease evolution. The results of clinical trials ensure that treatment compliance is 100% of the cases.<\/p>\n
