In particular, throughout the project the implications of implementing the Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) replacing the blast furnace as the main production route will be studied.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">The goal of COOPHS is to deepen the complex effects introduced by residual elements common in EAF production routes on material microstructure and properties. In addition to the structural performance of the material, these trace elements have a great impact on the surface treatments and coatings necessary to achieve a long service life of the component. One of the main objectives of the project is to determine the acceptable amounts of these residual elements in an industrial deployment of these solutions.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">On the other hand, a tool will be designed to guarantee a emissions-product compromise to facilitate the progression of low CO<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"><sub>2<\/sub><\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> steels in the PHS automotive market. COOPHS research will also compare various existing solutions and propose optimized low-emission steel processing routes.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">The COOPHS project will thus contribute to advance the state of the art in optimising press-hardened steels and of Advanced High-Strength Steels (AHSS) in general.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">The consortium, coordinated by <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/eurecat.org\/en\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Eurecat<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\"> technology centre, is participated by seven entities, including actors from the steel industry, the automotive safety sector as <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/france.arcelormittal.com\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">ArcelorMittal<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gestamp.com\/About-Us\/Gestamp-in-the-world\/Centers\/Europe\/Sweden\/Gestamp-HardTech\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Gestamp HardTech AB<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\"> and <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.letomec.com\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Letomec<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\">; and research organizations as <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.univ-amu.fr\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Aix-Marseille University<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\">, the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnrs.fr\/en\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS)<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\"> and <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.albasynchrotron.es\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">ALBA Synchrotron (ALBA-CELLS).<\/span><\/a><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":18,"featured_media":140615,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[2643],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-140609","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-coophs-project-en"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
