The agreement also includes the development of joint doctoral theses in this field; the generation of projects of high strategic value; participation in competitive and non-competitive calls for proposals, both national and international, and the promotion of agri-food innovation in the Catalan research and development ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p>In an event that took place on Friday 15 December in the Ram\u00f3n y Cajal Hall of the Historic Building, the rector of the UB, Joan Gu\u00e0rdia, stressed that &#8220;the University of Barcelona and Eurecat are two unavoidable partners&#8221;. &#8220;Eurecat is a key institution in the field of knowledge transfer to Catalonia and, therefore, this path of collaboration that we have started can bear great results\u201d, he said.<br \/>\n\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b<br \/>\nFor his part, Eurecat&#8217;s Corporate and Operations CEO, Xavier L\u00f3pez, stressed &#8220;the importance of having an instrument like this agreement&#8221;. &#8220;It allows us to formalize and systematize our collaboration with a benchmark university such as the UB, in a scientific and technological field as important as food and health&#8221;.<br \/>\n\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b<br \/>\nThe director of the Torribera Campus, M.
