For Eurecat, \u201creusing the pollutant emissions currently generated by our industry is essential to achieve an energy transition aligned with environmental care,\u201d says Jes\u00fas Boschmonart, Green Cities &amp; Industries Business Development director at Eurecat.<\/p>\n<p>Eurecat has also taken a sample from a pilot carbonation plant it has developed for application in demolition waste, slag, ash and more which can generate high added-value products. Its capacity to capture 250 kg\/day of CO<sub>2<\/sub> means it fosters the circular economy with a lower environmental impact and can be used in industries such as construction by adding the captured CO<sub>2<\/sub> to construction waste to give it enhanced properties.<\/p>\n<p>In its various projects, Eurecat \u201cdemonstrates its capacity to conduct applied research in all these areas by scaling up solutions from the laboratory to pre-industrial pilot plants,\u201d argues Agust\u00ed Chico, Eurecat\u2019s director of Special Projects. \u201cThis enables interested businesses to experiment with the most suitable option depending on the waste to be valorised or the characteristics of the gases they emit into the atmosphere.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Eurecat has also taken part in the H2TECH conference, organised by the H2TECH network at Net Zero Tech. The event was opened by Miriam D\u00edaz de los Bernardos, director of the Chemical Technology Unit at Eurecat and director of the H2CAT network.
