The event will demonstrate how these materials can be converted into sustainable aviation kerosene through different innovative processes, with the aim of significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt Eurecat we have distinctive technologies for CO\u2082 capture and reuse, green hydrogen and advanced catalysts which, through our specially designed pilot plants, allow us to accelerate the scaling-up of solutions for industry and drive sectors such as aeronautics and sustainable mobility,\u201d says Gabriel Anzaldi, Director of Technological Ecosystems at Eurecat and Managing Director of Eurecat Lleida. \u201cHolding this event in Lleida is particularly relevant because it connects this technological potential with the region\u2019s bioeconomy strategy and strengthens the path towards decarbonisation and the circular economy,\u201d he adds.<\/p>\n<p>During the event, Eurecat will participate in the technology demonstration and networking area of the H2CAT network&#8217;s research groups alongside industry companies, presenting innovations in hydrogen and in CO2 utilisation. Among these, will showcase a pilot equipment powered by sunlight that enables the transformation of CO\u2082 and water into a gas useful for industry. This gas can be used in various processes, such as the production of sustainable fuels, and opens the door to applications in the agri-food sector, by using the CO\u2082 generated during the fermentation of waste to reduce emissions and advance sustainability.<\/p>\n<p>The Demo Day, organised by the H2CAT network with the collaboration of Aeroports de Catalunya, the Cl\u00faster de l\u2019Energia Eficient de Catalunya and ACCI\u00d3, the agency for business competitiveness, \u201creinforces the shared commitment to advance the reduction of emissions in air mobility and generating new industrial opportunities in the region,\u201d explains the Director of the H2CAT network and of Eurecat\u2019s Chemical Technology Unit, Miriam D\u00edaz de los Bernardos.<\/p>\n<p>H2CAT, the Catalan Renewable Hydrogen Innovation Network coordinated by Eurecat, has as its main mission to drive innovation and scalability in key industries to position Catalonia as a leading global region in green hydrogen.
