The Eurecat<\/a> technology centre and Pimec have today signed a strategic collaboration agreement to promote innovation and competitiveness among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Catalonia. The agreement establishes a joint working framework to develop projects in areas such as digitalization, sustainability, the green transition, and strategic business and professional improvement.<\/p>\n

The General Secretary of Pimec, Josep Ginesta, and the Managing Director of Eurecat, Xavier L\u00f3pez, signed the collaboration agreement. Under its terms, Pimec and Eurecat commit to sharing knowledge, organizing joint activities aimed at SMEs, and making their infrastructures available to small and medium-sized companies.<\/p>\n

According to the General Secretary of Pimec, \u201cthe agreement reinforces Pimec\u2019s commitment to innovation and technology transfer as essential levers for the competitiveness of Catalan SMEs.\u201d<\/p>\n

In this regard, the Managing Director of Eurecat highlighted \u201cthe importance of generating strategic alliances between the business world and the innovation ecosystem in order to move towards a more resilient and competitive economic model.\u201d<\/p>\n

The collaboration between Pimec and Eurecat includes the organization of joint activities to improve business competitiveness, participation in industrial and technological development initiatives, knowledge transfer, and the promotion of projects in the fields of training, employment and business transformation.<\/p>\n

To this end, Eurecat and Pimec will seek synergies in the development of their respective activities, with the aim of collaborating in the organization of joint initiatives to enhance the competitiveness of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in Catalonia.<\/p>\n

Likewise, both organizations will make their technological infrastructures available to SMEs, develop joint projects in the areas of training and employment, collaborate on employment and training services, and join forces in relation to employment programs.<\/p>\n

To achieve these objectives, Eurecat will take part in joint initiatives led by Pimec to strengthen the productive sector and will collaborate in defining sectoral strategies and joint actions for the benefit of SMEs, among other activities.<\/p>\n
