On March 25th<\/sup>, Steel4Fatigue project coordinator Sergi Parareda from Eurecat participated in the General Assembly of the ShotTempering project, one of the cluster initiatives funded by the European Research Fund for Coal and Steel (RFCS)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The presentation aimed to introduce the key concepts and overall approach of the Steel4Fatigue project to the ShotTempering partners. It also sought to identify potential areas of collaboration, fostering synergies and encouraging future joint activities between both projects.<\/p>\n

Steel4Fatigue<\/strong> <\/a>focuses on advancing the understanding of the relationship between microstructure and mechanical performance in advanced high-strength steels (AHSS) and spring steels. The project aims to demonstrate the potential of these materials for manufacturing lightweight automotive components, targeting a significant 20% weight reduction compared to current steel solutions, while maintaining cost-effectiveness.<\/p>\n
