class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-&#091;1.7&#093;\">On June 4th, SuPreAM partners celebrated the <strong>fifth General Assembly of the project<\/strong>, hosted by <a class=\"underline underline underline-offset-2 decoration-1 decoration-current\/40 hover:decoration-current focus:decoration-current\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ltu.se\/\">Lule\u00e5 University of Technology (LTU)<\/a> at its campus in Lule\u00e5 (Sweden), marking the beginning of the last stretch of the project before its conclusion in December 2026.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-&#091;1.7&#093;\">Representatives from each partner entity participated in the meeting <strong>to present and review the progress achieved across all work packages<\/strong>, from the numerical modelling of cutting and EDM processes to the surface integrity characterisation, the demonstrators and the validation of the predictive models.<\/p>\n<p>The assembly, kindly organised by the LTU team, also served to coordinate the remaining activities and deliverables ahead of the project&#8217;s closure.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-&#091;1.7&#093;\">During this final phase, the project is focusing its efforts on consolidating the results and validating the developed predictive models, bringing SuPreAM closer to its main objective: <strong>to optimise the surface integrity of Additive Manufactured and Machined steel components<\/strong> and <strong>to reduce manufacturing expenditures<\/strong> at the steel industrial sector by minimising the material scrap and reducing the number of re-processing loops during finishing operations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-&#091;1.7&#093;\">Coordinated by <a class=\"underline underline underline-offset-2 decoration-1 decoration-current\/40 hover:decoration-current focus:decoration-current\" href=\"https:\/\/eurecat.org\/en\/\">Eurecat<\/a>, the SuPreAM consortium is also formed by <a class=\"underline underline underline-offset-2 decoration-1 decoration-current\/40 hover:decoration-current focus:decoration-current\" href=\"https:\/\/spain.arcelormittal.com\/sitios-web-arcelormittal\/\">ArcelorMittal<\/a>, <a class=\"underline underline underline-offset-2 decoration-1 decoration-current\/40 hover:decoration-current focus:decoration-current\" href=\"https:\/\/gsc-aero.com\/\">Grupo Sevilla Control (GSC)<\/a>, <a class=\"underline underline underline-offset-2 decoration-1 decoration-current\/40 hover:decoration-current focus:decoration-current\" href=\"https:\/\/drtrapid.com\/\">DRT Group<\/a>, <a class=\"underline underline underline-offset-2 decoration-1 decoration-current\/40 hover:decoration-current focus:decoration-current\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ltu.se\/\">Lule\u00e5 University of
