Esta <strong>biomasa residual<\/strong> es altamente rica en diversos compuestos bioactivos (aceites, \u00e1cidos grasos, polifenoles, prote\u00ednas) que se podr\u00edan utilizar para <strong>mejorar la salud y el bienestar de las personas<\/strong>, pero que normalmente no se aprovechan en aplicaciones de alto valor a causa de la falta de tecnolog\u00eda para extraer y conservar eficazmente los compuestos bioactivos. Entre estos compuestos encontramos los <strong>polifenoles, que tiene una amplia gama de propiedades beneficiosas para la salud humana.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>En este sentido, PHENOLEXA, se centra en el procesamiento de diversos tipos de residuos agr\u00edcolas para crear un conjunto de <strong>nuevos bioactivos polifen\u00f3licos funcionales<\/strong> (con actividad anticancer\u00edgena, antiviral, antioxidante, antimicrobiana, antif\u00fangica o antiinflamatoria), mientras que las fibras y los colorantes restantes se utilizar\u00e1n como <strong>ingredientes en alimentos funcionales. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Eurecat participa en el proyecto a trav\u00e9s de la <a href=\"https:\/\/eurecat.org\/es\/ambitos-de-conocimiento\/tecnologia-quimica\/\">Unidad de Tecnolog\u00eda Qu\u00edmica<\/a>, la <a href=\"https:\/\/eurecat.org\/es\/ambitos-de-conocimiento\/nutricion-salud\/\">Unidad de Nutrici\u00f3n y Salud<\/a> y la <a href=\"https:\/\/eurecat.org\/es\/ambitos-de-conocimiento\/ciencias-omicas\/\">Unidad de Ciencias \u00d3micas<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>El consorcio del proyecto, liderado por <a href=\"https:\/\/civitta.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CIVITTA<\/a>, est\u00e1 formado por <strong>12 socios de diferentes pa\u00edses europeos<\/strong>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.novatica-tech.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Novatica Technologies<\/a>, el <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnr.it\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Consejo Nacional de la Investigaci\u00f3n de Italia (CNR)<\/a>, el <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cartif.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Centro tecnol\u00f3gico CARTIF<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.celabor.be\/site\/index.php?id_surf=&amp;surf_lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CELABOR<\/a>, la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.umk.pl\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Universidad Nicol\u00e1s Cop\u00e9rnico de Torun<\/a> (Polonia), la <a
