La detecci\u00f3n de concentraciones superiores a los l\u00edmites establecidos en el Real Decreto 3\/2023 en diversos puntos de captaci\u00f3n evidencia la necesidad urgente de desarrollar soluciones eficaces que garanticen el cumplimiento normativo y la protecci\u00f3n de la salud p\u00fablica.<\/p>\n<p>En este contexto, el proyecto <strong>PFAS-CLEARWATER desarrolla y valida una metodolog\u00eda integral que combina tecnolog\u00edas avanzadas para la eliminaci\u00f3n eficaz de PFAS en aguas contaminadas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>La soluci\u00f3n combina <strong>tecnolog\u00edas de separaci\u00f3n y procesos de oxidaci\u00f3n<\/strong>, optimizados seg\u00fan las caracter\u00edsticas del agua y las condiciones operativas, asegurando tanto la eficacia del tratamiento como la adecuada gesti\u00f3n de los residuos generados.<\/p>\n<p>El proyecto se organiza en fases interrelacionadas, empezando por la <strong>caracterizaci\u00f3n de la contaminaci\u00f3n por PFAS <\/strong>en distintas fuentes de agua. En segundo lugar, se trabaja en el <strong>desarrollo y evaluaci\u00f3n de esquemas combinados de tratamiento en entornos controlados<\/strong> (adsorci\u00f3n, intercambio i\u00f3nico, oxidaci\u00f3n avanzada y membranas); y, finalmente, en la <strong>validaci\u00f3n mediante plantas piloto en condiciones representativas <\/strong>para evaluar su viabilidad t\u00e9cnica y econ\u00f3mica.<\/p>\n<p>El impacto esperado incluye la <strong>mejora de la calidad del agua potable y la generaci\u00f3n de conocimiento clave <\/strong>para operadores y autoridades. La combinaci\u00f3n de tecnolog\u00edas permite aumentar la eficiencia en la eliminaci\u00f3n de PFAS y avanzar hacia soluciones m\u00e1s sostenibles alineadas con la econom\u00eda circular.<\/p>\n<p>El consorcio est\u00e1 formado por los centros de investigaci\u00f3n <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eurecat.org\/es\">Eurecat<\/a> y <a href=\"https:\/\/www.urv.cat\/es\/\">Universidad Rovira y Virgili (URV)<\/a>, junto con las empresas de abastecimiento <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ematsa.cat\/es\/\">Ematsa<\/a> y <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aiguesdereus.cat\/es-es\/\">Aig\u00fces de Reus<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>En este marco, la <a href=\"\/?page_id=104763\">unidad tecnol\u00f3gica de Agua, Aire y Suelos<\/a> de Eurecat lidera el <strong>desarrollo y optimizaci\u00f3n de tecnolog\u00edas para la separaci\u00f3n y eliminaci\u00f3n de PFAS mediante carbones activos, resinas y procesos de oxidaci\u00f3n avanzada<\/strong>, y participa en el dise\u00f1o, escalado y validaci\u00f3n de la
