Caballero<\/strong>, Research Professor at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cenim.csic.es\/en\/home-english\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Spanish National Centre for Metallurgical Research (CENIM-CSIC)<\/a> and NewAIMS partner, attended the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tms.org\/TMS2024\/TMS2024\/Default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>TMS 2024 Annual Meeting &amp; Exhibition<\/strong><\/a>, taking place on March 3<sup>rd<\/sup>-7<sup>th<\/sup> in Orlando (United States).<\/p>\n<p>During the event, she delivered the talk \u201c<strong><em>Metastable phases in additive manufacturing produced maraging 300 steel<\/em><\/strong>\u201d, which included an overview of the NewAIMS project and the previous outcomes that motivated it.<\/p>\n<p>The presentation showed how the difference in chemical homogeneity and phase distribution of additive manufacturing produced maraging 300 steel affect the microstructural evolution during ageing treatments.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, Francisca G. Caballero introduced results on microstructure and spatially resolved composition investigations, that revealed revealed the micro- and nanostructures of apparently well-known materials after synthesizing and processing them via novel additive manufacturing methods.<\/p>\n<p>The presentation, given on March 7<sup>th<\/sup>, was part of the symposium \u201c<em>High Performance Steels<\/em>\u201d and was included in the session \u201c<em>Steel Performance II<\/em>\u201d, chaired by Melissa Thrun, from Los Alamos National Lab.<\/p>\n<p>The TMS Annual Meeting &amp;
