During the visit, they learned about the tasks carried out by Eurecat, especially at the <a href=\"https:\/\/eurecat.org\/en\/field-of-knowledge\/materials-metallics-ceramics\/\">Metallic and Ceramic Materials Unit<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/eurecat.org\/en\/field-of-knowledge\/sustainability\/\">Sustainability Area<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jaume Pujante<\/strong>, Head of new processes for advanced materials, and <strong>David Fr\u00f3meta<\/strong>, Head of mechanical behaviour at Eurecat, delivered a presentation highlighting different RFCS projects coordinated by the centre: <strong>H2FORM3G, <\/strong><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/eurecat.org\/en\/portfolio-items\/coophs\/\">COOPHS<\/a><\/strong><strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/eurecat.org\/en\/portfolio-items\/sup3rform\/\">Sup3rForm<\/a><\/strong><strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/eurecat.org\/en\/portfolio-items\/crash-though\/\">Crash&amp;Tough<\/a><\/strong><strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/eurecat.org\/en\/portfolio-items\/supream\/\">SuPreAM<\/a><\/strong><strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/eurecat.org\/en\/portfolio-items\/newaims\/\">NewAIMS<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/crystal-rfcs.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CRYSTAL<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The projects presented are aimed at promoting the <strong>optimisation of steel mechanical properties<\/strong> improving its use in sectors like the automotive industry, while seeking to achieve a reduction in defects, costs of manufacturing and carbon dioxide emissions carbon in its manufacturing processes, <strong>increasing the decarbonisation of the industry<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Eurecat is the<strong>\u00a0first Spanish technology centre in attracting funds from the RFCS European programme<\/strong>, enhancing steel additive manufacturing, boosting lightweight structural applications, and promoting hydrogen embrittlement-resistant steel solutions.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-image-element \" style=\"text-align:center;--awb-caption-title-font-family:var(--h2_typography-font-family);--awb-caption-title-font-weight:var(--h2_typography-font-weight);--awb-caption-title-font-style:var(--h2_typography-font-style);--awb-caption-title-size:var(--h2_typography-font-size);--awb-caption-title-transform:var(--h2_typography-text-transform);--awb-caption-title-line-height:var(--h2_typography-line-height);--awb-caption-title-letter-spacing:var(--h2_typography-letter-spacing);\"><span class=\" fusion-imageframe imageframe-none imageframe-1 hover-type-none\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"451\" title=\"1720684266573\" src=\"https:\/\/eurecat.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/1720684266573-800x451.jpeg\" alt class=\"img-responsive wp-image-155601\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eurecat.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/1720684266573-200x113.jpeg 200w, https:\/\/eurecat.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/1720684266573-400x226.jpeg 400w, https:\/\/eurecat.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/1720684266573-600x338.jpeg 600w, https:\/\/eurecat.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/1720684266573-800x451.jpeg 800w, https:\/\/eurecat.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/1720684266573-1200x677.jpeg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/span><\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-2\"><p>The visit concluded with a tour of Eurecat\u2019s facilities, where they showed the methods of work and materials study in the metals and sustainability laboratories of the leading technology centre in Catalonia and one of the largest private research organisations in southern Europe.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":33,"featured_media":155604,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[2644,2844,2734,2439,2648,2669],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-155607","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-coophs-project-es","category-h2form3g-es","category-newaims-es","category-proyectos","category-sup3rform-es","category-supream-project-es"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
