This fair has been held in Madrid, Spain, the 20<sup>th<\/sup> and 21<sup>st<\/sup> of November, 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Dedicated project information was showcased as part of Eurecat\u2019s booth at Metal Madrid 2024. Celebrating its 16<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary, MetalMadrid has provided a platform to highlight cutting-edge innovations aimed at advancing sustainability and decarbonization in the metal industry.<\/p>\n<p>Visitors to Eurecat\u2019s booth were introduced to the <a href=\"https:\/\/eurecat.org\/es\/portfolio-items\/coophs\/\">COOPHS project<\/a>\u2019s efforts in developing low-CO\u2082 steel production for the automotive sector. The project focuses on evaluating how eco-friendly processes affect the performance of high-strength Press Hardened Steels (PHS), essential for creating lightweight yet resilient automotive components.<\/p>\n<p>Eurecat\u2019s booth also included information on other projects aligned with the metal industry decarbonization, including the CISMA project, exploring the implications of recycling high-strength and high-formability automotive steels using Electric Arc Furnace technology, or <a href=\"https:\/\/flexcrash-project.eu\/\">FlexCrash<\/a>, aiming at developing adaptive vehicle structures from high-strength green aluminum alloys.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, information about <a href=\"https:\/\/salemaproject.eu\/\">SALEMA project<\/a>, focusing on creating low-critical-raw-materials\u2019 aluminum alloys for diverse manufacturing processes and <a href=\"zevraproject.eu\">ZEvRA<\/a>, developing an approach for manufacturing fully circular vehicles by improving recyclability across key materials.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, Eurecat distributed brochures of four other projects funded by the Research Fund for Coal and Steel (RFCS) programme of the European Union: <a href=\"https:\/\/eurecat.org\/portfolio-items\/sup3rform\/\">Sup3rForm<\/a>, aiming at studying the optimisation of third generation and high resistance steels; <a href=\"https:\/\/eurecat.org\/portfolio-items\/newaims\/\">NewAIMS<\/a>, promoting new additive manufacturing processes of optimized high-performance steels; <a href=\"https:\/\/eurecat.org\/en\/portfolio-items\/steel4fatigue\/\">Steel4Fatigue<\/a>, which creates new high-strength steels optimised for the automotive industry; and <a href=\"https:\/\/eurecat.org\/portfolio-items\/duralink\/\">DURALINK<\/a>, aiming at extending the life and competitiveness of the new generation of wind turbines for the offshore wind industry.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-image-element \"
